Paneer Bhurji / Scrambled Paneer

Paneer is a very good source of protein for the vegetarian diet. I still have not met anyone who does not like paneer. You can make paneer at home with milk but if you do not want to be that adventurous you could buy at any grocery store.

Ingredients
  • 2 cup Paneer scrambled
  • 1 1/2 Medium onion chopped
  • 1 Medium tomato chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 Green chilli chopped
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder (Adjust as per your taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt as per your taste
  • 1 tbsp Ghee or oil
Instructions
  1. In a pan add oil and cumin seeds. When the seeds turn a little brown add chopped onions. When the onions turn translucent add the tomatoes and the green chili with all the other spices. Sauté it for few minutes till the tomatoes turn soft.
  2. Add crumbled paneer to this mix. Sauté it for another 5 or 10 minutes and it is ready to eat. You can eat it with bread, naan or roti.
Recipe Notes

You can replace paneer with firm tofu  in this dish, if you cannot find paneer.
