Yields: 4 Servings Difficulty: Difficult Prep Time: 10 Mins Cook Time: 40 Mins Total Time: 50 Mins

Kathal or Jackfruit is getting very popular now. In American stores we do not get the fresh green jackfruit very easily but we can definitely find the cans of raw green jackfruit in brine. This recipe is handed over to me by my brother and it is a hit in his house. His kids love this and request him to make this biryani every Sunday. Thanks to him, now it is made often in my house and one of my family favorites. This is a one pot meal and usually is served with raita (yogurt).
